T1 make history with LCK’s fourth-ever 17-win split

The 17-win barrier in the LCK is getting easier to meet each year. With a victory over Nongshim RedForce, T1 sealed a 17-win Spring Split, becoming the third team in the league to accomplish this feat. The most recent team to do so was Gen.G, who in one go won 17 games and broke the LCK's single-split winning % record.

T1 won 13 straight games to finish the 2023 Spring Split. Hanwha Life Esports dealt them their lone defeat of the season on February 2. Since then, they have dominated the LCK, going 13 matches without losing, compiling an individual game record of 26-4, and closing the split with a total game record of 35-8, one game shy of the best they established during last season's 18-0 run in the spring.

T1 surpassed every other team in the standings this spring by four matches, gaining a commanding lead and the first spot in the LCK Spring Playoffs. Due to their record, they received a first-round bye in the Spring Playoffs and got to pick their opponent for the second round.

T1 enters the postseason as the hottest team in Korea, and another LCK championship for the illustrious franchise appears exceedingly plausible with the playoffs starting the next week.

The top two teams from each major region, rather than only its champion, will play at MSI starting in the 2023 season. T1 would need to prevail in two best-of-five series in the top bracket of the Spring Playoffs to ensure their attendance at MSI.

The first round matchup between KT Rolster and Liiv SANDBOX will start the LCK Spring Playoffs on this coming Wednesday, March 22. The opening round of the T1 playoffs will begin on March 25.
